Event Medics

Our event medical staff consist of qualified ambulance officers and pre-hospital trained medics that work full time in the emergency service sector gaining a high degree of skill in trauma and medical work.  We are the chosen medical provider for most of the martial arts events throughout Auckland and have developed a good working relationship with the major promoters.  SMS has also provided medical teams for Sky Tower stair climbs, school galas and events and have even supplied medics for "youth at risk" programs at no cost.

Our service includes:

- Stringent pre-fight screening

- Ringside medical intervention

- Post fight observations

- Medical treatment (as required)

- Fully equipped medical teams for all sporting and cultural events

We can provide promoters with the appropriate paperwork for fighters to attand doctors for blood testing and check ups prior to events (Contact us for more details)

Should you require a specialist medic we have at our disposal a medic whose background as an advanced paramedic lead him to employment as a tactical medic working in Afghanistan, then working as a lead medic specialising in diving medicine working in the East Timor sea.

We have recently formed a closer working relationship with Pro-med and as a result can provide medical coverage at any event from one end of the country to the other !!!

Please feel free to contact us with any enquiry for events, fights or competitions in any area - we will try our hardest to ensure we have staff available to cover your people.

First Aid Courses

We can provide NZQA assessors to train and certify your staff or club members in Workplace First Aid, or First Aid refresher courses.  Our instructors are trained by ProMed (Pro+Med) Medical Services (NZ) Limited and can issue the relevant unit standards (6400, 6401, and 6402)  Our staff have trained a wide variety of clients but can share their daily experiences from their current involvement in the emergency service sector.
